Pakistan, at the time of its independence was one of the most progressive countries of the world. The US looked at Pakistan as the rising super power of the future. Pakistanis were lovable people, looking for opportunities to grow and prosper.
But with every passing decade we kept on losing our track, and now after more than 63 years of independence the same nations that used to be inspired by our policies are looking at us as a failed state that might not be on the map of the World in the years to come.
Pakistan was synonymous to the land of opportunities, but my people it still is the same land. It has opportunities, than why do we lag behind? The answer is the passion, the patriotism, the feeling of responsibility, the urge to make the country proud is no more there. Today majority of our youth wants to study abroad and get settled there. Nobody wants to take the pains of this system, be a part of it, struggle for its improvement, and strive for a better future of Pakistan.
Today we find an increasing consumption of power in our country, we all get united in cursing the relevant institutions, but have we ever coined a solution to this. No. In fact we are party to the culprits that are the main force behind this electricity shortage. You don't need to investigate you just have to look around and you will easily figure out locations where electricity has been consumed illegally, but have we ever bothered to report such activities. The answer must come from within yourself.
You, the YOUTH, have talent, knowledge, skill so why should we look to others for assistance. Why don't our young engineers come up with proposals and models unleashing innovative energy alternatives? Why do our Youth want an easy way out? You, the YOUTH, own this land of the pure, you have a huge responsibility resting upon your shoulders, it is high time for you to stand up, take up the responsibility and deliver. Don't wait for a savior, become one!!
